The Foundations for Speciality Linens

The seed for speciality linens was planted 25 years ago in a small room in Manchester . Company founders Sara & Raymond Crammer had an idea of renting out cutlery & crockery for parties and this was developed under the name Rentaplate.

The idea was a success & the company quickly developed into a furniture hire company which included tables and chairs as well. By 1985 Rentaplate was manufacturing it's own tables and importing chairs, which were used at sporting events and conferences in ever larger numbers. By 1990 the market had begun to change with clients having an ever demanding thirst for new products. One idea which came up was a subsidiary dedicated to interesting party linens as used in the USA but at this point unknown here. This subsidiary proved so popular that by 1992 it was decided to concentrate exclusively in the area of linens.

With this dedication came innovation and by winter 1993 the banqueting chair cover was born. This has since been extensively copied however, the decision to focus on quality, innovation and choice as expected by our clients, have led the company in development for more than a decade.
