A small and simple innovation at Speciality Linens has in the past decade, revolutionized the way in which we dine.

The name of this innovation is the large round banqueting tablecloth.

Prior to 1985 the majority of round tables would have had square cloths covering them. Usually the "smart" method would have been to use two squares for depth. This changed quite rapidly when the company realized that by changing the laundry and production process slightly it was possible to provide round cloths without affecting quality in a negative way.

The choice of cloths was initially small, with white, pink or blue the only options. Once the production process had been stabilized, it became possible to supply a variety of colours and materials as this new process was designed to meet irregular item styles.

Today it is "normal" to use round cloths on round tables and square cloths on square tables.
