Established in 1980, Our mission is to provide unrivalled opportunities in linen to the banqueting community. We will achieve this by being customer focused & never complacent, by embracing the latest linen technologies, fabrics and colours and by providing an unrivalled level of service to the banqueting community.
Key Dates Timeline:
- 1980 – Established as Rentaplate Ltd.
- 1984 – The UK’s first spot hire Linen rental range launched.
- 1985 – The UK’s first floor length round linen range launched.
- 1988 – Rentaplate rebranded as Speciality Linens.
- 1990 – Introduction of the UK’s 1st Banqueting Hire Chair Cover.
- 1999 – A complete linen solution facility opened-all processes are now operated from one central despatch point.
- 2004 – The worlds 1st fully comprehensive chair cover brochure “chair couture” launched.
- 2006 – Our Organza range expands to include seamless cloths and backed napkins.
- 2008 – Multi Million Pound investment made at a new laundry facility in the North West helping improve turnround times significantly & making Speciality Linens one of the most substantial quality led laundries in the World.
- 2009 – Buy online website launched – orders can now be placed 24/7.
- 2009 – Southern delivery & collection depot opened in London, same day emergencies, rapid turnoround and other service benefits immediately felt by clients in the South West.
